I split my time between Lyon, Mumbai and wherever my clients are. Every place I land teaches me something about how brands actually get built, and most of it never shows up in a deck. These are real moments from the road.
Twelve places, twelve reels, one pin each. Hover a pin or a name to preview it, click Watch reel for the whole thing with sound. Drag the globe to turn it yourself.
People ask why a marketing person keeps a travel diary. The honest answer is that markets are places before they are spreadsheets. How a cafe in Lyon sets its counter, how a store in Mumbai stacks its shelves, how a founder in a different city explains what they sell to a stranger, all of it is market research you cannot buy. I notice it because I move between countries every few weeks.
Travel also keeps the work honest. When you only see one market, you start to think its rules are universal. They are not. The brand that wins in Paris often means nothing in Pune, and vice versa. Most of the cross-border marketing mistakes I fix for founders started as someone assuming a playbook would travel. Keeping these moments around reminds me, and the founders I work with, to test that assumption every single time.
If you are taking a brand across borders, that is exactly the work I do as a Virtual CMO. Let's talk.
